Scott Reid

Livestock Manager / Sales - Forbes

Licensed Stock & Station Agent and auctioneer with 36 years in the industry. After completing his higher school certificate at Red Bend Catholic College in Forbes he commenced work for the family owned stock and station agency V.C Reid & Sons in 1983. Scott continued to work for his family business until 1989, when he attended attend Hawkesbury Ag College to obtain tertiary qualitfication. He received is Stock & Station Licence in 1991 and in 1999 Scott became the director and acquired part ownership of the firmly established agency V.C Reid & Son. 

Throughout his career Scott has worn his fair share of hats; a member of the Forbes Central West Livestock Exchange advisory committee for 20 years,President of the Forbes Livestock Agents Association, He was instrumental in the construction of the Pig selling centre, it is now the last selling centre for pigs in NSW. He also oversees cattle and sheep feedlots in the local area.

The establishment of the Ray White V.C Reid partnership in 2019 has allowed expansion along with the extension of exceptional quality service to new and existing clientele.

When Scott does eventually find free time he spends it working on the farmwhere he runs beef cattle, spending time with family & friends, and has been known to run the odd marathon. He is an avid supporter of the mighty Forbes Magpies Rugby league, where he is president of the Old Boys Committee.
